best friend age 19 Post By: just some girl

Message: My best friend was diagnosed with bone
cancer 2 years ago. Six months ago and
many chemo rounds later, the cancer
spread to one of his lungs. Last week it
was found in his brain, other lung, and
spleen. He is an amazing guy and does
not deserve to go through this. Nobody
does.

I am running out of ways to deal with
this situation. I go from being perfectly
happy to being very upset and angry. I
really would like someone to talk to
outside of the situation. I need to talk to
someone who knows what it is like to
deal with cancer.

I have had a friend's mom taken by
brain cancer, a young friend taken by
soft tissue cancer, 3 friends recover
(thank goodness) from various forms of
leukemia, and my dad and grandpa
dianosed with different types of skin
cancer.

Anyone who would be willing to talk I
would appreciate it so much.

When I found out my mom had cancer, hearing that word, 'cancer' was like getting punched in the chest. Being away at college, I felt helpless. But, the best advice I was given was to stop worrying, because worrying was not going to help my mom survive.
