one day at a time Post By: staystronggg

Message: long story short, 18 years old; leukemia.
diagnosed last year, in middle of parents
divorce.

aspiring young teenager, with
everything in the palms of my hands;
lost it all.

no hope, no drive and nothing to live
for. as each days progresses, i fell
further and further away from life.
further and further away from my
friends.

recently, i've surrounded myself with
quotes. many of which were said from
many people on this very site.
happy quotes, inspiring quotes.
and it really has helped.

it's shown me that there's light at the
end of this dark journey
there's hope, even in the heaviest
situations
and there are more people willing to
help out there, then anyone can
imagine.

it just comes down to taking every
experience as they come, and one day
at a time.

"keep trying, never give up"

My uncle was diagnosed with multiple myeloma three years ago. My mom spent a lot of time traveling back and forth to Chicago, where my uncle lives. I felt guilty wishing she were at home with me when my uncle needed her more.
